The island sits in the middle of Laganas Bay and is surrounded by shallow, crystal-clear water. The Mamma Mia excursion passes by and stops here — the waters around Marathonisi are among the best in Zante for spotting sea turtles in the wild. Swimming here, with the island as your backdrop, is one of the genuinely memorable things you can do on the island.
